Preservation Mission
Why preservation matters
Vintage patterns are more than instructions. They record the tastes, skills, creativity, and daily lives of the people who used them. Handwritten corrections and notes can make an old booklet a personal historical object as well as a craft resource.
The goal of The Pattern Keeper is to rescue, research, digitize, and preserve eligible patterns so they are not forgotten in boxes and can be used again.
Handmade things connect generations.
Have family patterns to preserve?
If you have vintage patterns, handwritten notes, photographs, or stories connected to family needlework, I would love to hear about them.
